breathing and rotting is a VJing performance consisting of a three channel video installation, contemporary music, performative elements and live manipulation of visuals. The project takes a critical look at Western ideals of beauty, transience and the fragility of existence. We question, explore and put together the unfamiliar. Experimentally and provocatively, images of transience and decay are combined with found footage of today’s Western beauty ideals. The inner and the outer are juxtaposed, creating a cycle of decay and re-emergence.
